In a world where we are seemingly always on the move and preoccupied with life, and all it throws at us, it is often difficult to find peace. I’m constantly reminded of the scripture reference where we are simply called to “Be Still and know that He is God”; or when Jesus calls out to the wind, and turbulence “Quiet! Be still!” At those times, His peace which overshadows all else prevails. Sometimes, however, we are the ones who need to make the decision, the choice, to simply ‘Be Still’. This song reminds me of that choice I need to make... It’s not a peace I can create on my own – it is His peace that I need, that I often crave to just rest and breath in His peace and presence.
