Product Overview

"For all who are seeking a clear biblical and historical understanding of the doctrine that is so central to Salvationist theology, this book is invaluable... Explanation of any doctrine has to be biblically grounded, theologically precise, and pastorally motivated. this book is a model of such careful explanation... Geoff and Kalie Webb lead the reader gently and carefully to an understanding of the doctrine that William Booth claimed "stands to the forefront of our doctrines." - Roger J Green, Ph.D., Professor and Chair of Biblical and Theological Studies, terrelle B. Crum Chair of Humanities, Gordon College, Wenham, Massachusetts.

"The Webbs rip the scab of 'respectable' Christianity off the Body and then compassionately attend to symptomatic wounds before introducing and administering the antidote - a transformative, Scriptural holiness contagious enough to spread everywhere" - Stephen Court,(Captain Dr), founding Principal, Salvation Army War College, Vancouver.

"Their book presents a strong case for Christian holiness. It also introduces the reader to current developments in Christian thought and the ways in which they impinge upon 'holiness' teaching... Perhaps most significantly, the book is written by Australians for Australians. What has long been needed is a book on holiness that was Wesleyan, readable, Australian and, above all, biblical. Authentic Holiness is such a book." - Alan Harley, (Major Dr), Senior lecturer, Salvation Army Booth College, Sydney.

Major Geoff Webb became a Salvation Army Officer in 1984. He holds degrees in education and divinity, and a doctorate in theology. Captain Kalie Webb shares a partnership ministry with her husband. She became a Salvation Army officer in 1997, and holds a degree in theology. Together they have served as leaders of local Salvation Army congregations. They have three children, Andrew, Courtney and Khelsi.
