Foreword:
The role and purpose of the Tri-Territorial Theological Forum is to facilitate intentional theological discussion within and beyond The Salvation Army in Australia and New Zealand.
It's function is to encourage the development of a Salvationist perspective of theology and inform ministry practice. In this, their second journal, forum members consider 'Exploring our Foundations' in the context of 'Windows of Opportunity'.
If ever we needed to revisit and explore our foundations, the time is now. Our movement has grown steadily to include more and more first generation Salvationists of many cultures.
They and we who have preceded them will be wise to read these articles, written by those who have studied and experienced their subjects, with diligence and integrity.
Now begin to see their work in the space of the opportunities before you and you will become fertile soil in which the Holy Spirit will plant seeds of renewed hope and authentic service.
I commend these thoughts to you without reservation, believing we will be a better Army for the time spent here in Jesus' name.
