Originally written (and published) in Triumph Series, “Balga Citadel” was composed by retired Corps Secretary Allen Pengilly of the Morley Corps in 1980 for what was then the new and flourishing Corps at Balga.
The Hymn Tune Llanfair is utilised in the latter part of the march, including a somewhat Gullidge-esque interlude …
We believe this new transcription by Noel Jones will b e a welcome addition to the libraries of many smaller bands.
