Product Overview
While initially the focus of the song may have been on youth, the lyric is equally applicable to all generations in its “Call to Battle” and challenge “to seek and save the lost”. This is a new contemporary song steeped in the vision of The Salvation Army.
The song mainly uses unison and two parts but it also incorporates four part singing; all in a homophonic style. Attention to rhythm is essential. Much of the semiquaver syncopation will fall easily into place; aim for a rhythmic style that is more ‘conversational’ and less angular. Some of the four part sections will require careful rehearsal to secure the harmonies; notably the bridge section (bar 59).
