Tempo is crucial to the style! Be careful to keep the music well measured and don't rush. The feel should 'sit' right on the beat. Maintain the same tempo throughout but allow for a more spacious, relaxed approach during 'Praise The Name Of Jesus'. Although written in a 'medley' format, each tune can easily be extracted.
To play three verses of Solid Rock make an extra repeat at Bar 18 back to the introduction and jump from Bar 5 to Bar 48 for verse three and the ending.
A short introduction to 'Praise The Name Of Jesus' can be played from Bars 42 and 43 jumping immediately to Bar 22 or Bar 34 for the melody; instruct players to hold the first note of Bar 44 for the ending.
