When I was 16 years of age I was a labourer working in a printing factory at Tuskiji, Tokyo, Japan. At that time I experienced salvation through faith in Jesus Christ, and dedicated my life to God. . . . I am now serving God as an officer in The Salvation Army, and the one desire of my heart has been to let you, my beloved people, know of the great love of God.
In one on my songs I have written:
Wake up the sleeping souls
With news of god’s salvation;
Do not neglect to warn them
Of evil’s depression.
Such thoughts compelled me to produce this book, although I do not profess to be a writer
