Major kapela Ntoya is a Salvation Army officer from the Democratic Republic of Congo. After completing his officer training he served as a corps officer, at Territorial Headquarters as Private Secretary to the Territorial Commander and later as Assistant Principal of SALT College of Africa in Zimbabwe. After nearly six years in that appointment he returned to his home territory to serve as a university chaplain and then, three years later, as Territorial Music and Creative Arts Secretary. He is currently Principal of SALT College of Africa in Zimbabwe. Married with four children, he is an internationally published composer and has a BA degree in French and African Linguistics as well as a diploma in theology (ThA). He is a member of The Salvation Army’s International Doctrine Council.
