The pictures on the cover to this book are taken from a lithographic print of an original painting by Michael John Ewins, ASAI, a well known Hertfordshire artist. He was commissioned to paint it as a permanent reminder of some of the buildings and events significant in Salvation Army history as well as depicting the developing mission and uniform of the Army. The artist was advised by the International Heritage Centre and it is dedication to The Salvation Army of today.
